Case Study FAQs

Can I submit an application before I have approval from the End User?

Yes. However, securing End User approval greatly increases the chances of your project becoming a case study.

Who should I contact about the status of my case study application?

Please email Aaron Block at ablock@inductiveautomation.com.

Can I submit more than one case study application at a time?

We request that you only submit one application at a time. If you are unsure which project would be a better fit, please contact your account representative.

What is the time commitment for a case study?

Case studies require an initial hour-long meeting to discuss the details of the project and logistics of filming, if applicable. All interviews will be conducted over one to two days. Once the case study is complete, all video and written material will then be submitted for integrator and end user approval before publication. This process can take several weeks.

What is the difference between a video and written case study?

Video case studies contain both video and written portions; videos require additional coordination so that stakeholders can film their interviews. Written case studies do not include a video component and require less coordination.

What does Inductive Automation do with case studies?

Case studies are published in the Resources section of the Inductive Automation website. Additionally, they are shared in IA’s weekly newsletter and social media accounts.

Can I have my case study for my own use?

Inductive Automation provides all applicable URLs to Integrators and End Users and gives permission to reshare case studies so long as proper credit is given. Original files can be made available upon request.
